Restoring a variety of ecosystem types including wetlands and Garry oak meadows
Successfully controlling invasive species
Propagating and growing native plants
Protecting native plants from deer
Reducing wildfire risk, including information on fire-resistant & drought-tolerant plants
Enhancing wildlife habitat – birds, bats, frogs, beavers and beyond!
Wildlife habitat supplies will be available for purchase by Coast Alive Stewardship Service
Nesting boxes for local birds
Bird baths and mini-ponds
Wire cages to protect trees and shrubs from deer browse.
The walk is approximately 2 kilometers. Please bring your own water and sun protection. After the walk enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and soak up the sun in our picnic area. There’s lots of space for kids to safely run and play, but sorry, no dogs allowed.
$10 per adult, kids free – all proceeds help fund further restoration projects. No one will be turned away for lack of funds.
