Wells Snowshoe Fest and Cariboo Cup Race!!!

Experience a magical winter weekend of snow, community, and adventure in the heart of the Cariboo Mountains at the Wells Snowshoe Festival 2026 in Wells, BC! This cozy winter escape supports the Wells and Area Trails Society (WATS), a volunteer-run non-profit dedicated to developing, maintaining, and enhancing non-motorized trails in the Wells area. WATS promotes hiking, biking, skiing, and snowshoeing, with no trail fees for users.

The festival kicks off Friday evening with a relaxed meet-up and a serene night-time snowshoe under the stars, perfect for connecting with fellow attendees. Saturday brings the Cariboo Cup, a friendly snowshoe race welcoming participants of all levels, along with family-friendly games and activities throughout the day. The evening concludes with a snowshoe-themed film screening at the Sunset Theatre. On Sunday, guests can enjoy a guided snowshoe adventure through Wells’ soft, snowy landscapes before the weekend wraps up.

All proceeds from the festival go toward supporting WATS and the trails that make Wells a winter wonderland destination.
